Blockchain for Social Impact- with Chris O’Neill, Akina Foundation, NZ

June 4 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Blockchain for Social Impact – Presentation & Discussion featuring Chris O’Neill, Akina Foundation, New Zealand

Our Speaker, Chris O’Neill, leads “Tech for Impact” for the Akina Foundation in New Zealand and will be visiting the USA to connect with others interested in leveraging emerging technologies, such as Blockchain and AI for social good.

Just prior to our Meetup, Chris will be attending “Blockchain for Social Impact” in Washington, D.C. and will be sharing his insights from the conference as well as his research at Akina. ≈
New technologies like blockchain and AI are going to have radical effects on both business and the social sectors. Will these changes be positive or will they wreak havoc on our employment systems and social fabric?

Join us to share thoughts on this question and more generally, blockchain’s role in building trust and reducing costs, in providing new ways to donate, in addressing social problems in various areas, such as sustainability, banking, voting, etc.

See links below for more information on Chris O’Neill, the Akina Foundation, the DC conference and Blockchain for Social Impact.
